As Head of Public Sector Advisory, Damien is responsible for a large portfolio of Government Bodies, Agencies and Public Sector client Organisations, in the areas of governance, risk, internal audit, regulatory compliance with particular expertise in the financial control and regulation of National and EU Grant funding programmes.
Experience
Damien has extensive experience of the Public Sector and the unique governance and compliance environment in which they operate, which has been amassed over a career spanning more than 30 years.
Notable Achievements
Over the last thirty years Damien has gained extensive knowledge of governance, risk and internal control together with extensive audit and business consulting experience of national and EU financial control regulations for grant programmes within the Public Sector.
He has been involved in both an audit and advisory role to a large number of government agencies, departments and semi-state organisations. He has advised government on many topics including the introduction of the Fixed Term Workers Act, the funding of Maternity, Paternity and Adoptive leave, Pensions in the University Sector, ERDF compliance and State Aid.
