Stephane Kurgan

Since 2020, Stephane serves as a Venture Partner at Index Ventures, a venture capital firm, and as an executive advisor at Technology Crossover Ventures, a Growth equity firm. Prior to that, Stephane was an operator for the last three decades. From 2011 to 2019, he was the chief operating officer of King Digital Entertainment (KING), maker of Candy Crush Saga. Prior to that, he served as CFO of Tideway Ltd, and was a consultant with McKinsey & Co. He has also served as Senior Vice President and Managing Director of enba plc, held product and sales roles at Bureau van Dijk Electronic Publishing.

Interests: Stephane enjoys being with family and friends, traveling, hiking, and skiing. Along with his wife Frederique, Stephane serves as a trustee of the Kurgan van Hentenryk Trust, which funds educational causes.

Education: Stephane holds a B.A. in Economics from the Université Libre de Bruxelles, a Diploma in International Relations from Johns Hopkins University SAIS School and an M.B.A. from INSEAD.
