Tom is a partner and leads the corporate finance team in Cambridge. He has over 25 years’ experience in M&A and private equity and has led dozens of transactions across multiple sectors. Tom specializes in succession planning for owner-managed businesses and entrepreneurs, with a focus on delivering company disposals and buy-outs. 

Experience

Tom has particular expertise in healthcare, technology, business services and in the veterinary sector, where he has completed some of the most significant transactions in the UK in recent years. 

Notable client work & achievements

Notable transactions include the sale of Goddard Veterinary Group to VetPartners Limited, the sale of C4 Carbides to TTI Group, the investment by BGF into Just Digital Limited and the sale of cr360 to United Laboratories LLC.

Tom is a part winner of the Insider Media Central & East Dealmaker of the year.

Professional qualifications & memberships

Tom is an Oxford history graduate and a chartered accountant. He worked in the M&A teams at Deloitte and RSM before setting up and leading Ashcroft Corporate Finance that became part of Oaklins Evelyn Partners in 2023.
