S&W strengthens Manchester tax team with Partner appointment
S&W, the fast growing professional services group, is pleased to announce the appointment of Ed Gibson as a Partner in its business tax practice in Manchester. Ed is an international tax specialist with nearly 25 years’ experience advising companies on a wide range of international tax matters, including international expansion, cross border financing, business restructuring, transactions and international tax compliance. His client base is diverse, ranging from ambitious scale up enterprises looking to grow internationally through to mature listed businesses with significant global operations.

His client base is diverse, ranging from ambitious scale up enterprises looking to grow internationally through to mature listed businesses with significant global operations.
Prior to joining S&W, Ed spent four years at BDO as an international tax partner. Before that, he spent 20 years at Deloitte, including five years as a partner. He combines deep technical expertise with a pragmatic, commercially focused approach, helping clients navigate the complexities of operating internationally, optimise their tax profile and manage risk in an increasingly complex regulatory environment.
The appointment builds on the recent announcement that S&W has relocated its Manchester office to new premises at Pall Mall, King Street, in the city centre.The new office doubles the firm’s space in the city, providing capacity to support continued growth while also delivering an enhanced working environment for colleagues and clients.
