S&W, one of the UK's fastest-growing accountancy and advisory firms, is pleased to announce the appointment of Lucy Saunders as Partner in its private client tax team. Based across the firm’s Guildford and London offices, Lucy joins S&W from BDO, where she served as a private client tax partner.

The appointment reflects S&W's continued investment in its private client tax offering and follows sustained growth across the firm as it continues to attract senior talent to support increasing client demand.

With more than 20 years’ experience advising high net worth individuals, families, entrepreneurs and internationally mobile clients on complex personal tax matters, Lucy brings extensive expertise to the team. Earlier in her career, Lucy spent almost three years at Smith & Williamson, the heritage business on which S&W was founded.

Chris Shepard, Partner and Head of Private Client Tax Services at S&W, said: “Lucy is an outstanding addition to our private client tax team. Her breadth of technical expertise, strong market reputation and extensive experience advising high net worth and internationally connected families make her exceptionally well placed to support our clients.

“As we continue to grow and invest in our private client capabilities, Lucy's appointment further strengthens our ability to deliver the high-quality, personal advice that clients expect from S&W. We are particularly delighted to welcome Lucy back, having previously worked in our business.”

Lucy Saunders, Partner, private client tax services at S&W, said: “I am delighted to be joining S&W at such an exciting stage in its growth journey. The firm has a clear vision, a strong reputation in the private client market and an ambitious strategy for the future.

“Returning to the business presents a fantastic opportunity to work with talented colleagues and help clients navigate an increasingly complex tax environment. I look forward to contributing to the continued growth and success of the private client tax services team.”
