Experience

Anna is an Associate Director at S&W, who specialises in providing expert witness services and arbitration and litigation support on disputes. She is a qualified chartered accountant. Anna is experienced in preparing valuations and quantum calculations as well as drafting expert witness reports and joint statements, and has previously been appointed as an expert.

Anna has been identified as an "Arbitration Future Leader" in Lexology's rankings, based on client recommendations. Anna focusses primarily on international arbitration (including UNCITRAL rules, LCIA, ICC and CEPANI), as well as High Court and other forums.

Anna has worked with clients across a wide range of industries and sectors including mining, energy, oil and gas, leisure and tourism, pharmaceuticals, sports, media, and retail. Anna has acted on matters for clients based across the UK, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

Anna has worked on a variety of types of cases, including valuations of businesses and shareholdings, investor-state disputes, warranty claims, loss of profit assessments, intellectual property disputes, matrimonial disputes and account of profits assessments. Anna also has experience of determinations, supporting the Expert Determiner on a number of cases.

  • Valuation of a pan-European healthcare company, in the context of a €2bn warranty claim
  • Valuation of a share in an oil field project off West Africa including modelling the revenue and cash flows
  • Valuation of the impact on value (for a warranty claim) of data being not as warranted on the sale of a mine in Asia
  • Valuation of a UK hospitality business in a shareholder dispute
  • Assessment of the lost energy and capacity payments at a power station on the Indian sub-continent due to the actions of a counterparty in failing to supply gas
  • Assisting the Expert Determiner in a €50 million closing balance sheet dispute regarding the valuation of stock (inventory) under IFRS
