Anthony McGowan

Anthony is a senior corporate tax advisor with broad experience of UK and international tax issues. Areas of expertise include:

• International Tax, including permanent establishment risk and tax residency
• M&A Tax, including tax due diligence and structuring
• Complex UK corporate tax, including the corporate interest restriction and tax modelling for capital projects

Experience

Anthony began his tax career as a graduate trainee with KPMG in 2014. He spent 11 years with the firm, gaining experience across all areas of corporate tax including tax reporting and compliance, audit of tax, and tax advisory projects. He later specialised in in M&A and international tax.

Anthony joined S&W in March 2026 where he provides a broad range of corporate tax support to UK and international groups.
