Mark leads our Data & AI Enablement practice and specialises in solving complex data, and technology challenges to improve operational efficiency and tackle regulatory requirements. His current focus areas include legacy technology modernisation & cloud migration, data & AI governance, AI enablement & operations, application development and reporting & analytics.

Experience

Mark and his team joined S&W in November 2025, bringing deep and broad technology delivery skills to the firm. Mark’s career spans over 25 years of experience in data, technology and AI, across global financial services, technology start-up and small & medium enterprises.

With experience working from board-level through to technology delivery teams, Mark has the ability to communicate complex technical challenges to senior leaders, whilst staying abreast of the detail and providing technical advice grounded in first-hand experience.

He has experience working with clients across UK, Europe and North America where he has helped them to leverage technology for commercial advantage in regulatory requirements, M&A and integrations, revenue growth and cost reduction.

Notable client work and achievements

Mark has worked with clients to help them:

  • Modernise: Led technology modernisation programme for a global financial operations firm, enabling them to mitigate technology risk, improve operational efficiency and create capability for new technologies such as AI.
  • Merge, Acquire & Integrate: Enabled the acquisition of a global claims management firm through technology integration, ensuring improvement to customer and colleague experience.
  • Transform & Grow: Led several transformation and legacy technology modernisation programmes including a multi-billion pound programme for a major UK bank to integrate and improve data infrastructure across the business.
  • Streamline: Developed and led the business and technical architecture to allow a major investment bank to streamline and enhance onboarding processes, resulting in a 75% reduction in the time taken to onboard their most complex corporate clients.
  • AI Enablement: Worked with multiple organisations to ensure their data & AI governance is safe for the rollout of AI tools and that their data is housed in an accessible and well structured manner.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Led development of data warehouses and data lakes at clients across multiple industries to ensure that their data is available to users via modern data visualisation tools, by consolidating data from multiple sources.
