At S&W, he leads the Analytics team to apply the rapidly expanding data science discipline to deliver efficient and high quality forensic investigations, proactively detect fraud, build forensic solutions to data issues in disputes and unpick complex client system issues.

He has developed advanced fraud detection solutions for some of the largest enterprises in the UK and has successfully implemented regulatory remediation solutions affecting millions of customers for well-known brands. Additionally, Pete has served as the technical lead for structured data disclosures in significant international professional practice disputes and has developed forensic data solutions for sustainability-focused customer due diligence.

The Government continues to ramp up its efforts to tackle crime in the waste sector
The Government has announced new measures to tackle economic crime and money laundering in the waste sector. The Environment Agency has launched an Economic Crime Unit to investigate ‘waste crimes’ (such as fly-tipping and landfill tax evasion) and money laundering in the sector, and exercise powers to freeze and seize assets. The Unit will work with other law enforcement agencies such as the police and HMRC to gather intelligence and proactively pursue criminals.
