He works closely with both established organisations and high growth companies to provide strategic insights, robust financial assurance and regulatory compliance expertise.
Experience
Prior to joining S&W, Andrew was a partner at a Big 4 firm and has over 20 years of experience in the profession with a focus on the Life Science and Technology sectors. He has led audits for a wide range of clients, including:
- Large companies (UK and US listed)
- Multinational groups
- Privately owned and PE backed businesses

Andrew spends time with key stakeholders at his clients to gain a proper understanding of their business, and to build relationships based on trust. His technical expertise, combined with strong communication skills and a pragmatic approach enable him to deliver high-quality audit and assurance services that add value beyond compliance. He leads teams that work efficiently and effectively, leveraging innovation in the audit to ensure an optimal approach that provides insight to his clients, and ensures that his teams have fun along the way.
He has extensive experience of accounting, financial reporting, internal controls and governance issues facing companies with specific knowledge of IFRS, UK and US GAAP. He has also provided advice and support to clients as they navigate challenges related to reporting of non-financial information, including ESG.
He has worked with his clients through numerous transactions, including IPO's, fundraisings and de-listings and is familiar with the key issues stakeholders are seeking support with. He balances the practical and the commercial sides of any issues - providing relevant feedback and real value. Always conscious that S&W offers a wide range of professional services, Andrew's understanding of the challenges and opportunities that his clients face enables him to connect them to the right people.
