Stephen specialises in advising a wide range of privately owned businesses and their owners across various sectors. He works with entrepreneurs’ and family businesses to understand their objectives and challenges and advise on structuring their corporate and personal affairs tax efficiently.

Stephen specialises in property transactions and structuring the ownership of property.  Over his career he has advised on the tax implications of a wide range of transactions including group reorganisations, demergers, incorporations of trading businesses and property portfolios, acquisitions and sales of companies and management buyouts.  

Experience

Stephen joined Creaseys (which merged with Evelyn Partners in November 2023) in May 2019. Prior to that he worked for a Big Four firm for over 25 years in a Private Business tax team.  He was also a member of the firms' property network.

Notable client work & achievements

Stephen has advised on several complex demergers of privately owned trading and property groups which have been undertaken to allow shareholders to own their proportion of assets separately and be able to implement their own strategy for their businesses.
