Amy is a partner within the Business Outsourcing Services (BOS) team as well as the Head of Technology for the team. This does indeed make her an accountant, but wider than this she would classify herself as a business advisor to her portfolio of ambitious high-growth companies.
The work her team undertakes ranges from a fully outsourced finance function, doing the bookkeeping, management accounting and reporting at board level; all the way through to the year-end statutory accounts.
Amy always overlays this with a technology edge to ensure clients have an appropriate app stack that is future proofed for their growth and automates much of their back office tasks allowing them to focus on growing their business and doing the things they love.
Amy is a firm believer that no two clients are the same and shouldn’t therefore be treated as such (one size does not fit all!). She therefore takes a holistic view and creates a tailored service that meets the client’s needs now and flexes this as those needs evolve over time. A great example of this is one of her clients has a junior staff member in-house who undertakes certain bookkeeping tasks and then her team dovetails around this. A big part of their role is to support and train this member of the client's team to enable them to undertake more advanced tasks over time, and with this her team's role will flex around them.
When it comes to the statutory reporting she delivers an efficient process, filing promptly after the year end whilst the events of that financial period are still fresh in everyone’s minds, and to free all stakeholders up to look forward rather than spending too long looking back.
Her key focus is working with ambitious entrepreneurs where she can add value advising on all aspects of accounting, cloud accounting software, business plans and forecasts, statutory year-end accounting, and all things scale-up related.
Experience
Amy has worked with businesses helping them to grow, take onboard investment, build a future proofed efficient finance team, and advised them through the obstacles that present themselves with any growth journey.
She is industry agnostic, having worked with clients across a board spectrum of businesses. Examples include the recruitment sector, technology, family office, manufacturing, project based businesses, retail and ecommerce, healthcare, hotels and leisure to name just a few.
Amy is also the Head of Technology within the Business Outsourcing Services team. She has a real passion for cloud based accounting applications and how they can create a truly effective business managed based upon real time financial facts rather than hunch. There are some great products on the market and when she discusses software solutions with clients she always considers the current and future needs of the business.
