Notable client work and achievements

  • Managing a high-profile administration of a regulated entity with c.£237m of invested funds. This has involved a complex investigation to ascertain the flow and whereabouts of the funds invested and dealing with key stakeholders such as the FCA, the FSCS, HMRC and the SFO.
  • Managing the administrations and winding down of a group of entities that operated a travel agency, which traded from multiple office locations in the UK and overseas and employed c.500 personnel. Hundreds of thousands of customers were affected by the failure of the Group, a large number of whom were travelling at the time of cessation of trade. It was essential to manage an effective communication system to support customers and provide appropriate guidance to facilitate refunds where possible
  • A structural reorganisation of a prominent London property portfolio with a value in excess of £400m. This involved working closely with various teams of lawyers, trust representatives, tax advisors and agents, in the valuation and subsequent division of a significant area of London real estate. We extended our role following the S110 transaction by assisting the ‘NewCos’ with the transition period by reconciliation of the management accounts and cashbooks and addressing outstanding trading matters and liabilities. We were also able to resolve for the client a longstanding dissenting shareholder dispute to a satisfactory conclusion.
