Daniel leads on the provision of assurance services, primarily audit services to a diverse portfolio of clients.

He has worked with a range of businesses from entrepreneurial start-ups and businesses looking to scale to large established businesses operating across the UK and internationally.  Daniel’s current client base includes businesses in a variety of industries including hospitality and leisure, professional services, property, recruitment, and retail.

Over the past 13 years he has built a particular specialism of working with commodity trading businesses and has assisted clients who trade in a range of commodities including sugar, coffee, cocoa, and textiles.

He also has extensive experience of working alongside family office structures, helping them to meet their compliance requirements and providing assurance which is valued by the ultimate beneficiaries.

Experience

Daniel has over 13 years of experience, and has spent all of them with S&W.

In this time he has worked with clients of a range of sizes from single entity UK owner-managed businesses to large multinational corporations with complex group structures.

Although his client base has always been extremely varied, he has developed a specialism in working with commodity traders.

He also has a particular interest in working with Family Offices, whether that be in the form of statutory audit engagements for their UK-based portfolio companies, non-statutory audits of their portfolio entities based outside of the UK or other forms of specific assurance tailored at providing comfort to the beneficiaries.

Daniel has extensive experience of dealing with accounting, audit, financial reporting and internal control issues and helping his clients not only meet their compliance requirements but also achieve their more broader strategic goals.
