Experience

Henry has more than 27 years of restructuring and insolvency experience (23 years at Smith & Williamson) and has been an appointment-taking insolvency practitioner since 2003.

He has a wealth of experience in providing restructuring advice, undertaking financial and business reviews for stakeholders and in acting in formal insolvency appointments, including sometimes prolonged administration trading assignments.
He is a regular presenter on his specialist areas.

Notable achievements

  • Administration of the Kaupthing private equity fund, a legally ground-breaking assignment that saw creditors repaid in full.
  • Administration of the Caterham Formula One team, an assignment involving an innovative approach including crowd-funding to allow the team to complete the 2013/14 season.
  • Advised on the successful restructuring of one of the UK’s largest child nursery groups.
  • Administration of Chelmsley Wood Shopping Centre and the iconic Point West building Receivership of The Circle.

Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and prize-winning insolvency practitioner licensed by Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).
