The Joint Administrators of William Blake House Northants (the “Charity”), Adam Stephens and Chris Allen of S&W Partners LLP, are pleased to announce that contracts have been exchanged with Camphill Milton Keynes Communities (Camphill MK) for the sale of the Charity’s residential and assisted living care services.

Subject to customary regulatory approvals, completion is currently anticipated in approximately seven weeks.

This marks a significant and positive step forward in securing a stable future for the residents, staff and wider community connected to William Blake House. Since their appointment in April 2026, the Joint Administrators have continued to trade the Charity and maintained continuity of care, whilst working closely with many stakeholders.

Camphill Milton Keynes Communities is a long-established charity with more than 40 years’ experience supporting adults with learning disabilities. Its approach emphasises community, independence, meaningful activity and person-centred care.

Camphill MK shares a common heritage and ethos with William Blake House, providing a strong cultural alignment that is anticipated to mean that there is a smooth transition for residents and staff.

Under the terms of the transaction, Camphill MK will acquire the Charity’s residential and assisted living care services and certain assets.  Camphill MK intend to continue delivering care services to residents from the existing locations, ensuring stability and minimal disruption to their daily lives.

Adam Stephens, Lead Joint Administrator at S&W Partners LLP, said:

“We are delighted to have exchanged contracts with Camphill Milton Keynes Communities following a thorough process to identify the best available outcome in the circumstances for William Blake House.

“This transaction represents an important milestone in securing stability and continuity of care for residents, while also providing reassurance to families and staff about the future of the service. We thank all stakeholders for their support through recent uncertain times.”

Chris Allen, Joint Administrator at S&W Partners LLP, added:

“From the outset of the administration, we have worked to support continuity of care for residents while also progressing a solution that delivers the best achievable outcome for all stakeholders. We are pleased to have reached this agreement with Camphill MK, which we believe represents a very positive outcome in the circumstances.

“Importantly, this transaction also provides reassurance for employees, with the intention of safeguarding roles and enabling staff to continue supporting residents they know well within a stable organisation.

“We would like to thank staff, families, commissioners and regulators for their continued support and cooperation throughout this process, and we look forward to completing the transaction in the coming months.”

The transaction remains subject to regulatory approvals, including engagement with the Care Quality Commission. Work is ongoing to ensure a smooth transition, with completion currently anticipated in approximately seven weeks, subject to the timing of those approvals.

In the meantime, William Blake House continues to operate as normal, with residents receiving uninterrupted support and care.

The Country Centre in Northampton, together with the land on which it is situated, is not included in the transaction with Camphill MK and is being marketed for sale separately by the Joint Administrators’ appointed agents as part of the administration process.
