With over 20 years’ commercial experience, Simon is an expert at helping those in complex corporate situations. Working with the team, he advises businesses of all viable options and works with them to find the best solutions to meet stakeholder objectives.

Simon has worked on several high-profile restructuring cases up to £500 million turnover and across a range of sectors including retail, casual dining, bars, technology and logistics.

Simon previously worked at Prudential Assurance where he was jointly responsible for the solvent restructure of a £1.7 billion turnover annuity unit and investigated and solved the second-largest pension mis-selling scheme.

Simon recognises the importance of discretion and of swift, pragmatic action in sensitive commercial situations. He always puts the client at the heart of his advice.

S&W team comment on latest company insolvencies data for construction industry

New data published today by the Insolvency Service shows that there were 367 construction insolvencies in February 2025, the highest they have been since June 2024. This is a 20% increase from January 2025 (306) and 3% increase from February 2024 (355).
