Experience

Tom joined S&W (under its previous names) in 2015, having first joined the tax and accountancy industry in 2010. His background is in family businesses and succession planning with a keen focus on trusts and estates.

Tom now deals with numerous traditional landed estates and rural businesses with a focus on the agricultural sector. He is on hand to provide structural and planning advice.

Notable client work & achievements

  • Advising on a capital reduction demerger for a traditional landed estate to separate trading and investment sides of the business to maximise inheritance tax efficiencies
  • Restructuring of numerous businesses following a review of the Balfour and inheritance tax profile to assist family decision making and effect succession planning
  • Named as one of Accountancy Age’s Top 35 Under 35 Accountants in 2021 and 2022
